Summer Parrot Roost Count 2023

Echo Conservation Centre will be holding their summer Parrot Roost Count 2023 on Saturday morning, July 29th, 2023 to gauge Bonaire’s parrot population after the main breeding season and also to ascertain changes in the dry season versus the rainy season.

For those on Bonaire who would like to help out with this very important parrot roost count, please let Echo know via email.  Are you unavailable to visit the training session but still want to participate in the count?   For those who haven’t counted Bonaire’s parrots before, Echo will present a training session on Wednesday, July 26 at the offices of the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA).  The presentation starts at 7:00 PM, but everyone is welcome beginning at 6:30 PM. During this presentation, Echo will explain all the information you need to count parrots. If you are unable to attend, you can also view the information live on Echo’s Facebook page.

So please let Echo know if you can assist, and they will ensure you will be counting-ready by the official count on July 29, 2023!
